The PY60 is the first model from Pioneer Yachts, a new yard on the former Volkswerft site in Stralsund, Germany. An 18.30 m catamaran with a 8.98 m beam, it was drawn around solar-electric propulsion rather than adapted from an existing powerboat: 16.7 kWp of solar across the roof and bimini feed a 48-volt LFP bank of 187-246 kWh depending on configuration, driving two 50 kW motors for 7.5 knots cruising and 11 knots maximum. Two 7.3 kW bow thrusters work with the motors through a joystick docking system, and the yacht is designed to be run by its owner without professional crew. Exterior by Cossutti & Ganz, interior by Micheletti + Partners. Note that despite the "100% solar-electric" marketing, the yard's own specification lists an 11-22 kW range extender and 2x736 litres of fuel, which is why it is recorded here as hybrid-electric. Range, price, cabin and berth counts are not published; the yard says real-world figures follow sea trials. First hull "Pioneer One" launched July 2026, world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2026.
